Emica vs. Emika
I made a poll once a few weeks ago, and most people thought Emica or Emika was strange. I didn’t think I needed to mention it last time, but I am Japanese-American. I’m the first generation born here. My parents are very traditional in their Japanese customs, as they came her as adults. So, I am wanting to choose a Japanese name to for the sake of my family honor, but I want it to be something not too traditional like my name, Chen. Thank you ~ Chen Lee

Oh my gosh, I LOVE that name! I have never heard it before but now it’s definately going on MY list.
I say use it, if you love it that is all that should matter! :D

I prefer it spelled Emika, and it is adorable. You will find that people on this site can be a bit harsh on names that are unique, so background can often be helpful in softening feedback.

I think Emika is really pretty! I definitely think that Emika is a better spelling. Otherwise, people may pronounce Emica (em-ee-sah)
