Kairi vs. Kyrie vs. Kyree

My husband Nick is set on this name for our second daughter, and since I got to choose our first daughter’s name (Kendall Elizabeth), and because I actually do like the name, I decided to go ahead with it (for now hehe ;)) Anyway, we need help with spelling and with mn! its pn ky-ree. No problem! Kyrie Elise sounds the best IMO, and goes wonderfully with Kendall Elizabeth! Also, I think you may have some pn problems if you spell it Kairi.

I think Kyrie and Kairi will probably get pronouned correctly about half the time-which is probably the best you can hope for.

Not trying to be negative, just realize that this is one of those names that is going to get pronounced incorrectly.

I’d probably pronoune them all keer-ee, only because the girls I know with this name say it that way.

Kairi is the best spelling the other spellings look like it would be pron as Carrie. As for mn:

I love Kairi. I would go for a stronger, more traditional middle name like Elizabeth.

Kyra is a girl’s name. Kyree is a boy’s.

You could try Kierree (key-ear-ree), but you’ll have some pron problems

I know a woman who's name is pronounced K-eerie. It is spelled Kyrie. The name Kairi is spelled Kai and not Ky, so it looks like it would be pronounced differently without the original Kai. I can see why people try to change it when they don't understand how to pronounce Kai and they think it is pronounced "Kay" but this name doesn't make sense when you mess up the spelling.
