Jasia vs. yes vs. no
So we came across the name Jacia, and was wondering how you would pronounce it. It’s not a made up name, it is Polish my heritage, and know it is pronounced yah-sya, but was wondering if you seen it how you would say it. We like it as Jas-ee-ah. Do youthink it is okay to change the prounciation. thankyou

If you misspell and mispronounce it I don’t think it is from your heritage any longer

It looks like Ja-se-ah to me too.
You could use it as a middle name.

I would say Jasia as JAY-zee-ah and Jacia as JASS-ee-ah, maybe jah-SEE-ah. But I agree with the second poster.

If I saw it, I’d say it as Jah-see-uh. I don’t think it’s a big deal to change the pronunciation since that’s how most people would probably say it anyway, but if you change it like that, it’s no longer from your heritage and is just made up. I don’t really care for the name. GL!

I like Jacia and I would pronouce it ja-see-ah. I think it is fine to use the correct spelling with a different pronunciation. Many names have changed over the years because of emmigration, I see no reason this situation wouldn’t represent your heritage. I would stick with the original spelling though, I think it looks nicer anyway.
