Maggie vs. Margaret vs. Magdalena
Okay so here’s the thing...
We like the name MAGGIE but I really want to have a formal name that Maggie will be short for so I know Maggie can be nickname for Margaret, which is just ok in my opinion. I’ve also heard it used as a nickname for Magdalena. Which of those do you like best for our daughter? Also does anyone have a suggestion of another formal name Maggie could be a nickname for?
Thank u all,
Sarah

Oh I was going to suggest Magnolia too. I think that’s actually really pretty and flower names are popular right now.

We have a friend who’s daughter is Magdalyn nn Maggie.
I like the traditional Margaret myself, but Magnolia is also darling.

Magnolia nn Maggie
Or just plain Maggie. I think its one of those rare occasions where it doesn’t need to be longer. Maggie is fine the way it is, and sometimes the longer versions Margaret esp kind of destroys the charm of Maggie.
So Magnolia is soft, and pretty, if not, plain Maggie..
