Is this for a boy or girl?

I think you can spell it either way, and mixing it with a more usual name like James or Michael would sound great.

how are you pn it? tie-lan () or til-an
Tylan (tie-lan) is an antibiotic drug given to farm animals...
So if you must, i’d spell it tylon but then i’d say tie-lon or til-on.

I like Tylan best. Tylon just reminds me of nylon. How are you pronouncing it though. i could see how these 2 spellings could be pronounced differently. Tallon is nice too and more masculine, if this is for a boy..

Here in Australia, there is a drug called Tylanol - its a cough syrup for children.
Tylan reminds me of this.
I am not sure if you are wanting girl or boy middle names..

I would not use it because it’s hard to tell what sex it’s for and how to say it. Also, neither of the spellings really look good. GL!

Sounds like Tylenol. Not flattering. If you like Ty as a nn, Tyson is much nicer. Or Sy would be a nice nn for Silas. GL!

We named my son Tylan back when he was born in 2009. We originally liked Tyler but since there are now a ton of Tyler’s out there and my name is slightly unique, we weren’t really going to go with anything we’ve heard of.

So we messed around with Tyler and found Tylan.

At 5 years old, he truly loves his name and never wants to be called anything else as far as nicknames go.

I never heard of the Tylan drug for animals back in 2009 so it probably wasn’t out on the market but we were aware of Tylenol.

Although it’s pronounced as Tie-Lan, we pronounce it as Tie-Len or at least that’s how it comes out with our New York accent. We would never spell it as Tylen because it leads to Tylenol. The "LAN" shouldn’t have a high "A" when pronounced or the name sounds girlish.

For his middle name we went with Carter.

So Tylan Carter is his name.

When he was a baby there was a lot of Ty-Ty’s which now is just Ty. I mess around and call him T-bird or T-Rex. Sometimes I regret not just making his middle name Rex because it would have been awesome!

My son is called Tylan,he is one half of identical twins and his brother is Jayden.
We chose Tylan as it is a Turkish boys name (husband is Turkish) but in turkey it is actually spelt Taylan, but before we registered them people were pronouncing it Tay -lan so we decided to drop the first a making it "Tie-len", weve never had anyone miss pronounce it and so far not come across any other Tylan’s.

My son is 32 years old, we had no idea that the name even existed! LOL My then husband liked it because he TY represents a "tiger" and the LYN represents a "lyon". Every one that has ever hear his name tells me how unique and beautiful name it is.
