Arrow As vs. A First vs. Name?
We are thinking of Arrow as a first name for a boy. I have heard of Sparrow and Harlow being names. I think Arrow is neat, and could have Ari as a nickname possibility. We also think it would fit well with older sisters Journey Rose (4) and Ember Lily (Emmy) (2). What do you think? Any middle name suggestions?

kinda, wierd at first but i think it’s growing on me. Def not the craziest name I ever heard.
Arrow Benjamin
Arrow Gregory
Arrow Bradley
Arrow Patrick
Arrow Maxwell
Arrow Mitchell
Arrow Landon
think you should do a more traditional common middle name since Arrow is so unique.

Thanks first and third poster. Second poster, I wasn’t sure about Ari, so he may not have a nickname at all. Ember only goes by Emmy every once in a while. Third poster, I like Arrow Benjamin and Arrow Mitchell, thanks! And I do agree about a more traditional middle name.

Well....I can’t worry about what others think too much, I have a dd named Galaxie!(1st poster) I have noticed on this site in particular, alot of people don’t care for names that aren’t too traditional. When I mentioned on a poll her name, I got alot of "stripper"comments and "that’s the worst name" however in the real world...I get tons on compliments! So, with all that being said- I like the name but more importantly-if you love it....go for it! I’m sure you’ve earned the right to choose your own name! GL :) I like Arrow Benjamin, Nathaniel, Michael...or your hubby’s mn.

I like it! Different but not crazy. I would not call him Ari though. Arrow is short enough you won’t really need a nn.
I like Arrow Benjamin and Arrow Thomas. I was trying to think of a masculine flower to use since the girls have flower mn’s but I couldn’t think of anything.

To poster 8- if you really want a flower or plant boy name google... babynames.com then go under plant and flowers. There are alot of masculine names for boys, ex. silas, birkley, birch....and so on.

I know I’m late to the party, but our son is called Arrow and it hasn’t caused any hiccups yet, though he’s only 2 years old at present. We love the name and people generally comment that they love it when they learn it.
My SO and I met a woman with son Aero while we were on a bicycle tour and we loved the sound of the name. It has the same ’rhythm’ as many common names and is quickly absorbed by the brain from strange to normal.
Note also that there is a Finnish boy’s name: Eero, which means Ruler and is their form of Eric.

Hey, I didn't look to see how old this post is, my son's name is Arrow :) it totally fits him- he as an adventurous little guy and I love that it has just a little bit of femininity to it. His middle name is Andrew for his father and grandfather. I think a bit more of a conservative middle name helps to balance it as well. I have gotten people who love it and others who seem a little weary- not that it matters. Go with your heart xo
