I really love both, but maybe Clara just a little bit more, but only because it doesn’t seem to be quite as popular.
It depends how you pronounce Evelyn. I only like it pronounced like- Eve Lynn. I do not like it pronounced- ehv eh lyn- the old fashioned, old sounding way. Eve lynn is very pretty and up-to-date. Clara is also old sounding like for an old lady.

Evelyn is very old lady and I know 3 people that just named their daughters Evelyn (nn Evie) so I’d go with Clara...it’s cute, classic, will age well! You could call her Ari. I really like Clara Reese (take on Clariese)

I love Clara. It seems much more ageless, where even though Evelyn is becoming more popular again, it still has a dated feel to it. GL!
