Thanks for all the positive comments on Clara. Our other concern is that Clara is super girly and of course dh wants them both to be athletic. So, can you see Clara being an athletic name? And as a side note, a name being athletic is NOT our only criteria! Thanks!

Why does it matter if they match or not? They are individuals. Also the name has great meaning for you! Anyway I think Piper and Clara go together fine - they’re both girls names...!

this may be a little of the wall .. But when I was a kid I had a friend named Ky Cheryl.. I thought it was a really cool name..There are a lot of really cool names out there and with Piper’s name I know you will find something..

I love Piper and Clara, plus it is more important that you love the name and you are honoring a family member too. Give her a modern, spunky middle name, and always give her the option of going by that! (or use Clara as the middle name)

a lot of people will say just name your kids names you love and they are like Dorothy and Kaylee...I’m not down with that, I want them to go together somewhat so I do think Piper and Clara are a little odd together. I do like that they both have five letters but I like Piper & Josie much better or I’m sure there is something else out there you can find that goes better, gl!

I love the name Clara. We are going to name our little girl due in September of 2013 Clara Mae :) I think it goes nicely with her sisters and brother’s names. We already have a Bethany Anne, Hannah Marie, Tanner Joe :)

I love the name Clara! I’m planning on naming my daughter Clara Rae (my grandfathers middle name was Ray) or Clara Rose (great grandmothers name is Rose). I think Clara is a gorgeous name. It’s so vintagey, yet modern.

We are considering Clara Skye as well. My mother in law hates it so now I’m second guessing. She said kids would tease her and call her Clear Sky.. not sure if I should care about her comment or not
