Which spelling is best for ah-LEE-nah? I’ve seen both. I prefer one over the other, but whatever is easier on my daughter is best. Thanks!

Alina looks prettier and will always be said right. Alena could be ah-LEN-ah.

Alina is beautiful it will always be spelled right and said right. I agree with the above poster I would say Alena (Uh-len-uh). Pretty choice.

When first reading these names, I didn’t pronounce either as ah-LEE-nah.
How about Aleena?

I would prn
Alina = Ah-lee-na
Alena = Ah-len-ah

I would pronounce Alena Ah-lee-na...I don’t see any mispronunciation in the spelling. GL

If you prn them like they are spelled Alina looks like A-LI-na.. I like the other spelling..

Alina with the i spelling is the name of my newest little niece.I think it’s really pretty and I know they haven’t had any issues with people pronouncing it wrong.

I would spell it Alina. Alena is pronounced like a LEE nah or A LAY nah but I think it would be pronounced like a LAY nah if reading it. I have never heard it pronounced a LEN ah.

I went to high school with a girl named Alena and it was prn. like A-lee-na.. I like that better.. Alina just looks weird..GL

I like Alina, Alena looks like it would be pronounced like Elena, which is Alayna.
