Aniston (however you spell) is a surname... I don’t understand people giving their girls surnames as first names...

How would you like it pronounced? I would say Anistyn (Ann-ee-stin) and Anastyn (Ann-ah-stin)

I don’t like it, but Aniston or Anniston looks best. The Y’s make it looks even trendier.

I agree about the "y"s, don’t use them. No offense, but seriously rethink it if you’re choosing this name because you’re a big Jennifer Aniston fan. That’s going to make one lame story one day when you tell your kid she was named after a trendy actress mommy thought was pretty. Not the greatest inspiration for identity.

you should spell it totally different, so that is changes a name! Anistyn is a wanna-be celebrity name!

Thanks, but I am not a Jennifer Aniston fan; my husband and I chose this name because I think it is pretty and unique.

I agree, Aniston or Anniston would be best. Everyone seems to spell their kids names with ’yn’ at the end, its not unique. It just makes it seem like your trying too hard. It is a pretty name though.

We named our daughter Anastyn and call her Anna and we LOVE it! She is NOT named after Jennifer Anniston.

Anastyn. a-nasty-n. does no one else see this or care. Name your kid whatever you want...don’t listen to the haters...but if you’re not careful about the spelling, kids are going to be mean when "nasty" is pretty much your entire name.

People were so ignorant in this post, holy goodness. I am naming my daughter Anistyn, because I am in love with the name. People can be so hateful

I named my daughter Anastyn.... and yes, i do like Jennifer Aniston... but that’s entirely a moot point. I love the name and it fit our daughter. Really bothersome how ppl can be so judgmental and rude about someone’s choice for their child’s name.

I named my daughter Anistyn Victoria. She is now 9 months old. We didn’t even second guess her first name! AND we have never gotten any rude comments about her name! Everyone that ask her name, ALWAYS replies with a "that’s such a beautiful name!" Also, I enjoy watching Jennifer Anniston’s films, simply because they’re hilarious or entertaining! But we didn’t, in any way, correlate our child’s name with the name of a actress! We chose her name simply off a personal love of the name! I’m glad you stood firm in naming your child and didn’t let others influence your decision to name YOUR child the name you really liked :)
