Help! My husband is on deployment and wants to name our son after one of his deceased soldiers, ’Whit’. The only name I can think of is Whitley, but that sounds too feminine to me... Suggestions please!

This is a tough one because there are so few names like this but I know Whitman is a name. Whitlin/Whitlon/Whitland could possibly work but you may want to look into other W names such and Wilson and Weston.

Whitman, Whitfield and Whittaker are great. Thanks.
Baby’s namesake went through training with my husband and they were on their third tour together when he was killed. Our son will go by Whit, but I want him to be able to have his own distinct identity as well, with the option to go by a longer name if he wants to.
