Melaina vs. Milana vs. Melana

Are these names all pronounced the same? I am looking for the pronunciation of Muh LAY nuh but I really don’t care for the first spelling-Melaina. Thank you!

Since Helena and Elena are pn with the LAY-nuh sound, what about Milena or Melena?

My book says they are pronounced ma LEE nuh. It says Malana is pronounced muh LAH nuh, Melaina is pronouced muh LAY nuh. But on Milana and Melana it say muh LA nuh. So is it pronounced LAY or LAH or LEE?

I think Milana and Melana could be pronounced either Lay or Lah. Melena and Malina are pronounced LEE.

I agree Melena is best like (Helena/Elena)
Melana looks like (mel-ahn-uh)

Well, like Helena/Elena, Melena might be pronounced MEL-en-uh. The only two that’ll give you the pronunciation you want are Melaina and Milena.

My daughter’s name is Melaina (Muh-LAY-nuh). I think your options to offer someone the best pronunciation without her constantly trying to correct them is Melaina, Malayna, Malaina or Melena.

My name is Milena -- in Italian it is pronounced Mee-Lay-Nuh, but in lazy canadian english I pronounce it Muh-Lay-Nuh. Some people call me mil-ee-nuh, but I can\’t be bothered to correct them ;-)
