Zake is pronounced like Blake but instead of the bl its with Z. Ezakiel is pronounced like Ezekiel but insted of the eke sound its the ake sound just like blake. For the record we don’t like Ezekiel nn Zeke. So Please tell us what you think.

Is the nn is the only reason you want to misspell the name Ezekiel? If so then you don’t have to misspell it to use Zake as a nickname. Just look at the name Josephine which has the nickname Posey...that’s much more of a stretch than Zake is. And I don’t think you should use Zake a full name because it sounds very made up and people will mistake it for Zack.

I think people will mispronounce Ezakiel. They’ll either misread it as Ezekiel, or they’ll catch the A and say uh-ZAK-ee-ul. If you really really want it, you might alter the spelling even more. Maybe Ezaykiel? Or just don’t bother and name him Zake. I don’t agree that folks’ll mistake that for Zach/Zack/Zak. If anything, they’ll misread it as Jake.

i think Zake is best, you will get others to say it correctly and it sounds like the name you really like. ezekiel will be too complicated and almost no one will pronounce it how you want to hear it. Zake!! yea!!
