Boy First Name vs. For Middle Name vs. Monroe

Hi. My late grandfathers middle name was Monroe. I know people are using it as a girls name, but it was originally a boys name and Im honoring my grandfather by using it. I want a good, strong, masculine name to compliment it since some people are using Monroe as a girls name. Please help. Thanks.

Isn’t that annoying? When the name you love for your son has now been deemed too girly? Drives me nuts.

My brother’s mn is Monroe. I’ve actually never heard it for a girl and think that’s quite odd! I do think it flows better as a mn.
