Can’t say I like the name at all..Why name a child after the Lion King?

Just had a friend name his yellow lab "Nahla"

I love the name and would definitely spell it Nahla. Nala could be pronounced as Nay-luh. I think the h also makes it look complete and more feminine.

I really like the name Nahla and prefer this spelling just for pronunciation purposes. Otherwise I think they both look great! It is smart and cute altogether! Actually I am wondering why I didnt think of it myself?

To poster #1 people name their children Ariel, Belle, Aurora, Jasmine, ect so just bc a name is in a movie does not make it un-useable! Do you think your daughters name was never used in any movie? Also I likle the lion king so nothing wrong with it in my books. Its not like you are naming her emily rose who was possessed. I think that that is a much bettter reason to stay away froma anme, but plenty of people use names from cartoons! I bet Tianna sees a huge jump in figures after "the princess and the frog" just as did other names after large disney movies! Poster one is naive and has no idea what shes talking about

I love the name personally. I think Nahla is the prettiest and is also best for pronunciation.

It was a name before the Lion King. It is a real african name and very pretty by the way. I like Nahla best.

I prefer Nala, short and sweet. I don’t see the need for superfluous letters.

Oka I’m late to the post! All of u have ur negative comments on the name but I’m sure someone had negative thoughts on the naming of ur children, whatever u are comfortable with & would enjoy saying & spellin is ur decision..I’m actually naming my daughter Nahla Jaí & oh boy have I received so many compliments! I’d say go for it
