Ways To vs. Spell vs. Lay-uh
Hi. Im a first time mom. My boyfriend and I are going to be having a baby girl. He told me earlier that he loves the name lay-uh. I like it too but have NO idea how to spell it. He likes Leigha, which I told him some people may mistake it as Leah. I was thinking maybe Laigha might be ok but it doesnt look right to me. Can you please help me with my spelling predicament? Middle name will be Michelle. Thank you.

Leia. As in Princess Leia from Star Wars. That’s the only acceptable way to spell it.

Leia is very pretty. Definitely MUCH better than anything with the GH involved. It looks classy.

Leia is the correct spelling like Princess Leia on Star Wars, same prn. Leigha would be prn Lee-uh.

Leia for 2 reasons ...
1 it’s my name and 2 if your a huge Star Wars fan I would do Leia or Padmaie

I am naming my daughter Leia but also can’t figure out the best way to spell it. I want the lay-uh sound not the lee-uh sound. I found a Finnish spelling Lahja which means gifts but I’m scared people will pronounce it wrong. Also thought if Laya, Layah or Layha
