Emmalyn vs. needs vs. middle name!

We have a boy name picked out but we are stuck on a girl name. We both like Emmalyn. But we need a middle name for her. Our last name is Marshall so I was thinking a short middle name would go well since the name will be kinda long. We like Emmalyn because its not very common. We also want a first name that has Lyn (Lynn) in it somewhere. So if you have any other suggestions, we are open to them. :) Thanks.

We actually heard the name Emmalyn on the show Army Wives. We didnt make it up. I do like the suggestion of Adelyn. And I think Grace is my favorite middle name so far.

Interesting... I did not realize how popular the name was getting until I did a search. I thought I came with the name 10 years ago when pregnant as a form of my mom’s name and my husband’s mom’s name. Alas, it was a boy, so we have held onto it waiting for a girl. We are going with Emmalyn Joy.

While I have never seen the show Army Wives... I am an army wife. Our daughters’ names are Ainsley Grace, Emmalyn Elise, Brynn Elisabeth, & Annalise Kate... Emmalyn totally fits her too! :) good luck.

I\’ve never seen the show army wives but I named my one month old daughter Emmalyn Clara. Clara is a family name so it was no contest for me and everyone loves it.

Ugh my names Emmalyn, my mom made it up 24 years ago before n e one had it I hate how popular it’s getting. I think it’s beautiful and loved having a name no one else had... You should think of a new one ;)

My baby girl’s name is Emmalynn Helen, I really liked the name Emmalene but I didn’t want her to be called Emily by mistake so Lynn being both my Mother-in-law’s and my own middle name I went with that, and Helen was my grandmother’s name. If I hadn’t used Helen I think I would’ve gone with Rose or Pearl, or my mom’s middle name, Lucille.

I saw the name "Emalyn" (just 1 m) over a crib design on Pinterest about 5 or 6 years ago. I fell in LOVE with it and have never seen Army Wives. We’re currently expecting & don’t know the gender yet. We like Emalyn Jae. :)
