Dorian was a horrible person; Atticus was a stellar one. Ray Bradbury has written a few of my favorite books.

I would use a variant of Ray (the longer form of your choice) for the middle name and Atticus as the middle name.

I’m glad you got the literature references! Thanks for your advice.
But just as a name, not based on his character, do you like Dorian??

I can’t--that’s the only Dorian I’ve ever heard of. I like similar names (Declan and Damon), but Dorian is ruined for me because of him.

Everyone has a few names that they just can’t like because of negative associations, though. For example, my brother was to be named Shane, until a new guy named Shane started working at my dad’s office. Apparently, this guy was so awful that my easy-going dad came home from work one day and told my pregnant mother "I’m sorry, but this boy can’t be named Shane!" Um...anyway, my point is that everyone has their own negative associations with names. Dorian happens to be one of mine!

Oooh, here’s a thought, though--what about Oscar Bradbury?

i really like Dorian and Atticus. i’d go with Dorian because it’s more unique, you could always use Atticus as the middle name though. how about

Dorian Kingsley
Dorian Eliot
Dorian Ezra*
Dorian Seamus

Atticus Dorian
Atticus Wystan
Atticus Blake

I understand your desire to use a literary name. However, these aren’t the best I’ve seen. I know a little Atticus and he goes by his middle name. His first name was just too harsh and hard sounding for a baby and child. It’s awkward for me to say over and over again (he’s a terrible listener).

Jeremy (To Kill A Mockingbird)
Jonas (The Giver)
Asher (The Giver)
Heath(cliff) (Wuthering Heights)
Holden (Catcher in the Rye)
Caulfield (Same)
Victor (Frankenstein)
Finn (Huck Finn)
