I agree with pp...I don’t understand this need for a nickname. Especially for names that are only 2 syllables or less.

Yep, no nn needed, although my friends little girl is named Cara and at home, as a pet name, they call her Care-bear.

If the poster wants a nickname it would be nice for people to just help instead of arguing and forcing their own opinions on her.
If the mn or last name begins with a C the nn CC would be cute. I like Care-Bear, reminds me of Claire-Bear from Wedding Crashers.

I don’t think that anyone was forcing opinions, just letting the parents know that in general short names don’t REQUIRE a nn, and that we think Cara is cute on its own,

With a name that short, not sure why you’d need a nn. I can only think of longer nns like Carrie, Cee, CiCi. GL!

I agree with almost everyone. Cara is such a short name for a nn unless you wanted a "pet name" such as Care Bear.
& to poste # 4, I really don’t think anyone is arguing or forcing their opinion on the poll poster. lol. Just stating our opinions like she asked & obviously no one can even think of a nn for baby Cara yet.

What about Carey? Pronounced car-ee? I actually found it from the movie the incredibles, lol, but it’s cute!
And to all the ppl who are saying she doesn’t need a nickname, the poster posted on here to get nicknames, not for ppl to tell her she doesn’t need one.
