I think we’ve decided. I know, it’s not a popular name with this site, but we really like it, and I know it’s not THAT weird, especially compared to some polls on here! (hey, just be happy it’s not a boy name) Well, we’re going to pn it ehv-uh-lee, which spelling is prettiest? Thanks!

I’m so torn...I think the "ie" makes it easiest to know how to pronounce, but I like the way "ea" looks better, but my grandmother’s name is Lee, so I like incorporating that too.... decisions....

My cousin has a 2 year old named Evalee, spelled that way and pronounced the same way you want it.

Hmmm, hard call. Unfortunately the ee is often linked to teen moms- not that it is not pretty, and the ea is confusing to some.... ie is pretty,and less confusing..

that’s what I was afraid of, that adding ee makes it look like a made up variation name, like Rylee or Baylee, ect. It’s not made up I swear! I found it in a book under Evangeline variations!

I think Evalie is the best in terms of pronunciation, and in terms of how it’s going to age. Evalee looks so young--it would be hard to take seriously when she’s older. "EE" endings never age well. I think that Evalie is pretty! Evalea is just too confusing, and Evalee is too childish. Remember, she’s only going to be little for a very short portion of her life!
