Emma Kate vs. Emmy Kate

I know these names are totally popular now but I Have loved them for years!! Im 28 now and expecting my first little girl. I have tried to think of other names but keep going back to Emma kate or emmy kate. I have loved these names since high school. wdyt? too common now?

Emma! It’s much more classic and will age better. Plus, you can always use the nickname Emmy for her while she’s young.

I say Emma for the same reason as first poster I was going to say the EXACT same thing!

I agree with post #1, go with Emma and use Emmy as a nick name. I have an Emma, (she will be ten on Monday!) and she recently told me not to call her Emmy. LOL Her middle name is Kaitlyn by the way!!

I like Emmy better since it’s less common. They’re both pretty common some similar less common options include Emerald, Ember and Emory, you can use Emma or Emmy as nicknames.

I think they are too common. Some similar names: Esmerelda, Emeralda, Emmaline, Emera, Emerson, Emilia, Emberly, Emira. Of the two I prefer Emmy :)

I prefer Emma, even though it is popular my daughter is naming her little girl this in October! She has always loved the name Emma and I think if you keep going back to it, than you should name her Emma and call her Emmy! Good Luck!

With all the "unique" names outthere there’s nothing bad about choosing a common name!
Emma Kate is gorgeous and will never go out of style!

Too common..everyone in the class will have to go by their first names and last initial forever..not smart!
