Avianna vs. a-vee-ah-na vs. ahv-ee-ah-na

Hi. My husband is a pilot in the military. I asked him to pick a name he loved and meant something to him. Since he’s in the military he wont be around as much as he’d like. Anyways, after looking on the internet and in baby name books, he chose Avianna. He said it reminds him of Aviation and being a pilot that makes since to me. So now we’ve decided on Avianna. We need middle names & we would like your opinion on the pronounciation. Thanks everyone.

Avianna is cute and it having a significant meaning to you makes it even more special =) I would definitely go with the A-vee-ah-na pronouciation.

I like it pronounced "ay-vee-ah-nuh" (ay rhymes with bay or say). Not sure if that is one of your choices or not, though. If you want to keep people from using the "anna" pronunciation, you could change the spelling to Aviana, which to me looks prettier and not as long. Just something to think about.

I agree you should change the spelling to Aviana to keep away from Anna. And for a middle name Avianna/Aviana Sky/Skye is cute if thats not too much.

I love the name! These are the middle names I like with it - Kelsey,Clara, Amelia, Noreen and Lauren. :)

I would pronounce the "Avi" the same way you pronounce "Aviation". Just a suggestion.

Thank you all so much!!! He likes Avianna Hope, Avianna Faith, Avianna Rowan, Avianna Resse. Although, he’s leaning more towards Avienna (pronounced Ah-vee-enna)...not sure if that is too weird and unusual though!!

I am a child and my name is Avianna. Ahv-eee-ana is the best way to pronounce it.(A sounds like Ov vi anna). My middle is Monet I think it flows beautifully. I can tell you having this named has made me unique and often people tell me that its beautiful.

My 10 year olds Name is Avianna Raiel pronounced like the one up above.. her middle name is pronounced Ray-el.. we call her Avi for short.. deffinately a unique name.. she has gotten many compliments! And it seems to be growing more popular!

We think the name is beautiful :) but then we would be biased seeing as our little girl is Aviana Rose...
