Ok for a baby gambler.... but I think Ace OR Acer better remain a nickname. You can still call your baby this, just give him a more dignified name.

I had a black cat years ago named ’Ace’ so it’s hard to get around that aspect. I think it’s fine as a family nn, but not a name or nn for a name. If your son can’t pull of the name Ace in high school or middle school he will be......

Does your last name by any chance start with an E? If so, maybe his initials can spell ACE or

i don’t care for it sorry, isn’t it a computer brand? you could do Asa, pronounced exactly the same but it’s an actual name meaning physician in Hebrew and born at dawn in Japanese , and you can still use the nn Ace.
