Nicole is beautiful but I hate the NICHOLE version and the Nicola version.

nicola sounds like ricola the cough drop...Nicole is very pretty. Do you like name Nicole Marie? think about it...

I much, much, MUCH prefer Nichole! Hardly anyone spells it like this, and sense you’re giving her such a common name, use a diff. spelling!

I like Nicole, Nicolette, or Nicoletta with Nicki/Nikki as a nn. Nicola does not have a pretty sound to it, sorry.

I feel really insulted that people don’t like my name (Nicola). Hopefully you’re not saying it like ’Nicole-ah’ because that’s gross. It’s "Ni-cuh-lah".

I have a Frenemy named Nicola, and even though she can be a bit mean i really like the name Nicola, it's a nice name and i prefer it over Nicole. Also if you were to use the name Nicola or Nikola, it sounds much better pronounced "Ni-cuh-lah" as someone above said. It sounds weird as "Ni-Cola", but at least then you can make jokes and call them "Ni-cococola"

Overall i much prefer Nicola. I guess it also depends on what they look like the Nic i know is Blonde and pale-ish.
