pronounce vs. girls name vs. Lilach
Hi, I have always loved the name Lilach. It is a hebrew name and it has a hebrew pronounciation. People in my community would know how to pronounce the name and wouldn’t think much about it as they are mainly Jewish but i was wondering if you saw this name how would you guys pronounce it and what would you think of it?.. I will tell you how to pronounce it after about an hour or so!
thanks!

Why would you name a child something that no one will ever get right..including the child? Plus, it looks made up!

At first glance I would pronounce it Ly-lack, and my second guess would be Ly-lock.

I would assume you pronounce it like the flower/bush, Lilac...
Or maybe it’s more like Lila "Lee-Lah" and the CH is silent...

well to the first poster.. its a hebrew name and as i said, everyone around where i live would know exactly how to say it.. the name is used commonly around here i just wanted to get the perception of everyone else. the name is pronounced Lee-Luhch. I can’t realy explain how the ch is said. It’s like there is something stuck in your throat? The name is a verry pretty name and it means flower.

the correct pronounciation is Lee-Luhch. like Lee-la with a ch sound on the end. The way that the ch is pronounced is like something is stuck in your throat? it’s a very Jewish thing!!
