I like Warren! It was in my top 5 for boys.

I also liked Warner. My MIL suggest Warton, but I didn’t like it very much. Maybe it’s your taste though. GL!

I don’t know who the negative poster is, but it’s her taste. You’ve made your point that you don’t like it so you can drop it.

I think Warren is very handsome. I’m not a big fan of the nn War, but I love the names Warren or Warner.

About the nickname War
(I’m the first one who offered suggestions)
Really, it’s not a matter of taste for me. If I can get the association out of my head, War sounds like a nice shortened name. But really, the connotations of the word are extremely negative and I think some people would find it uncomfortable. Would you consider the nickname Wren or Wade?

Oh get off your soapbox. This is the internet and you’re going to get 100% honest opinions from complete strangers. If you cannot handle it then don’t make a poll. I expect to get some negative feedback when I make a poll but hey, I’d rather have someone tell me they don’t like the name on the web before I choose it rather than after its on the birth certificate.

Warren is okay, a little bit dated. i don’t like the nn War though sorry, imagine you calling your child in the mall or something, it will sound like you named your child the word war

I think the nn War is fine. It’s your child. It’s a strong name, don’t let nay sayers stop you from your opinion. Stay strong or take some suggestions if you wish. It’s you decision in the end. Like any of us will ever know if you don’t tell us. :) Remember opions are like....everyone has one!

Oh, and I am expecting early next year, and if it’s a boy we are naming him Warren. Haven’t decided on a nn yet though. :)
