LILIANE vs. LILYANN vs. LILLIANN

My middle name is Lily and my mother’s middle name is Ann and I would love to combine them for a little girl’s name. Which spelling do you all love best? Are there any other suggestions we aren’t considering? THANKS!

Lillian is a nice name but it isn’t pronounced like Lily Ann. I say if you want it pronounced correctly, I would spell it Lilliann/e or Lilyann/e

I would just use Lillian which is the combo of both of your names, pretty!

I say just got with Lillian. It looks the prettiest and is the traditional spelling.

This is the way I would pronounce them:
Lillian-(Lily-en)
Lilliann -(Lily-An)

All the names that nn to Lily/Lillie/Lilly/Lilli are really overdone and very common these days combined are well into top ten of SSA names list for 2009-just so you go in with eyes open. Very very popular. Doesn’t much matter how you spell it if you call her Lily or some variation. Best of luck. I would suggest using it as mn and picking something more unique for first.

i like Liliane best. you could also do Lillian, Lilian, Lilyan or Lily-Ann/e

Liliane is the most beautiful name! It sounds beautiful (Lily-ARN), can be shortened in lots of ways, is traditional (French form of Lilian) yet different enough to make it unique.
