Well, she wants me to give her sis her same initials and this is the only M name we both like.

I think that is it so sweet that you are invovling your daughter in the naming process.
I think the way you spell her name depends on the way you pronounce. eg.
mar- lee-ah (more e sound on the Ley)or ma-li ya ( quick e sounds).

Prounounce Muh-lee-uh. The only person I’ve heard with it is Obama’s daughter and she spells it Malia.

I have a good friend Malia- spelled this way =) The simplest way is usually the best way. Avoids misspellings & mispronunciations.
