Annika vs. Anika vs. What do you think?

Ok I really like the name Annika/Anika, but i can’t decide which way i like it pronounced. Either Ann-ikuh or On-ikuh. Which way do you think is better and which spelling do you think would help people know how to pronounce it. Help me out please! Thanks a million! Kimberly

I work with a lovely lady named Annika (spelled this way) and she pronounces it On-ikuh. I like it this way, its a little more unique but still very pretty.

I agree with pp. Annika pron On-ikuh sounds the prettiest imo. It sounds a little exotic and new without sounding way out there and strange.

With two "n’s" I would probably assume the pn to be Ann-ika and with one "N" I would assume it was pn On-ika. I think I like the Ann-ika pn best... but I might be biased since I have a daughter named Annisa (pn An-neice-a). GL :)

I have a cousin named Anikka (ahn-i-kuh) and it is super cute! Annika is prn ann-ika for sure. One n is prn ’ahn’.

i would only say it as an-ik-a and i think the double n makes it look more complete

I think ON-ika sounds Russian & ANN-ika sounds more American.
