Nicknames vs. For vs. Mattea?

Hi! We want to name our daughter (who we will be adopting) Mattea, because it means "Gift of God". But we really want her to have a nickname. I don’t like Tea and we can’t use Mattie because my best friend’s name is Maddy, and that would be WAY too confusing. Can you guys think of any other nicknames for Mattea? It’s pronounced Muh-TAY-uh, for those of you who might not know. Thank you SOOOO MUCH! Steven, Amanda, Luke and Zeke

Whats her middle name? I think a fn +mn combo could ne cute

Mattea Kathrine- Matty-Kate
Mattea Josephine- Matty-Jo

MayMay, Taya, Emmy (since the name begins with an M, kind of like when people call someone named Mary Elizabeth "Emmy" or M.E. Maybe you could give her a middle name that begins with "E" so her initials would be M.E.). What do you think???
