Cashmere vs. for our son

We like the name Cashmere but we’d spell it Caizmere and nick name him Cash or Caz. last name pronounce Mic-Kiffer. Big brother is Willam Anthony(2). Caz’s middle name will be either Ronan,Michael,or David.

If you want the nickname Cash, Cassius would be much better. Cashmere is not a name. Cassius is. If you want the nickname Caz, Caspian would work.

Cassius Ronan sounds great. So does Caspian Michael. Cashmere doesn’t fit with any of the middle names, and I seriously can’t see this word as a name for a person.

the name is very uncommon.
it is however used on both sex’s and has a few different prononciation. Girl form of it is Kashmir. http://www.babynamespedia.com/meaning/Kashmir

Thanks everyone. We like Caspian alot,we might lean torwards that. We got negative feed back from family about cashmere aswell so i think they will like caspian.

No, what that site says is that Cashmere is a form of Casimir, which is the actual name. And that site also says that Aaronjames and Toneisha are names. Just because a website says that it’s a name, doesn’t make it true. It just means that a parent out there was dumb enough to use it on their kid.
