Yes, depending on your last name, it’s just fine.

I think it depends on the flow of the first, middle, and last name.. but I think Alex can definitely stand on it’s own. I have a cousin whose full name is Alex. Most Alex’s never go by Alexander anyway.

It can, but it does not give your child much flexibility as an adult.

I wouldn’t worry too much about not having enough flexibility as an adult. Most people named Alex never start going by Alexander... and I really doubt he would suddenly want to go by Zander

I love Alex. It’s great on it’s own. It’s a great name. I know a few Alex’s and I have never thought it was an improper name. I also know a couple Alexander’s and all go by Alex, so I say go for it!

If it is a nice name like Alex, you do not need a "more full name." Also, if it’s a nice name you don’t need a name that allows more flexibility.

Alex is a nice name on its own, it doesn’t need a full name. It can even have its on nn. Like Lex, Al, X...

Yes, Alex can stand on ’his’ own. Most Alexander’s go by Alex and never Alexander.. I like Alex OR Alexander!!
