It just sounds made up and basically is a made up name.

I really dislike it. It follows the trend of made up names ending in ly. On here in the last few days, I have also seen polls for Tinley and Tenley. Names like that are just as bad a the overused names like Sophia and Lily.

It doesn’t matter what people think, all that matters if you like it. There’s always gonna be someone that’s gonna dislike any name that you choose, no matter what kind of name it is. You just have to go with what you and your husband like and if you like Tinsley then go for it.

I like Tinsley and am trying to convince my husband to use it, need a good middle name though.

It’s a lovely, musical name. My friends just named their daughter Tinsley and she fits it. Some people are just complainers. Don;t let them get you down or change your mind. Come to think of it, all names are made up.

I know this is an old post but I really hope you went with the name Tinsley, it is absolutely gorgeous! Don’t listen to any of those "women" telling you it’s a bad name!

Tinsley is not a made up name. It is most commonly seen as a last name. It is of English origin. A lot of people like to name their children with the maiden names of their relatives. This is not a new practice.

If y’all would read.. right abovw the comment box it says "Please keep your comments positive and helpful. Even if you don’t like the names." I really like Tinsley/Tinslee no matter if it came from a high school show, if its made up or whatever. It’s actually one of my name choices! I was thinking either Tinsley Elizabeth, Tinsley Danielle or Tinsley Grace! <3

I named daughter Tinsley Ember. We call her Tinnie for a nickname. Who cares what others think.
