Nickname For vs. Sawyer?

Does anyone know of some nicknames for the name Sawyer? I can’t really think of anything other than Sawy (pr. Soy). Could you help me out a little? Thanks; Lisa

there isn’t one. some names just don’t have a nn....and if you don’t like that, i guess you pick a new name or use the mn, but I think that is goofy.

What is/would be Sawyers middle name as maybe you could include that into a nn... for example if his name was Sawyer James you could call him S.J

Sawyer Ian and call him SI (sigh)

You don’t really need a nn that comes from the name itself. My husband has nns for all of our children that are not shortened versions of their names. We actually tried to give them names that weren’t easily shortened, it bugs me that people take a beautiful name like Caroline or Nicholas and call them Carrie and Nick (personal pet peeve). I really like Sawyer =)

I like to have a possible nn when I choose a full name. My daughter’s name is Gwendolyn, and we call her that, but we also call her Gwen. It’s nice to have options! I love Oliver, but not a fan of Ollie and I don’t know of another nn. That said, if you love Sawyer (a great name by the way) go with it! At least you don’t really have to worry about people shortening it to something you don’t like.

I like Sawyer. Great name. I think nn’s are best developed naturally, which may or may not be a shortened version of their name. My neice’s name is Skyler and she was called Missy or Miss a lot when little and now that she is 15, still gets it occassionally from family. She also gets Sky. I actually call my children by their first and middle names a lot, rather than a shortened name!

We call our 1 1/2 year old Sawyer, Soy Bean. :) It’s cute now, but It wont age well. Other than that he is just "sawyer." It’s such a cute name it really doesn’t need a nickname!

My little girls name is sawyer and we call
Her bizzy because she’s constantly moving. We also call her sully.(= and yes nicknames come from the heart and not just from thinking one night. Give it some thought. It takes time.

My sons name is sawyer. I personally like it too when you can\\\’t shorten a name. My brother-in-law calls him \\\"soy-dog\\\" which I hate but it is their thing. My daughter\\\’s name is Dacyn (soft c) and that\\\’s also hard to shorten. All done on purpose.

My son is Sawyer...as a baby his nickname was Saw-Saw, but became Sawsey over time...only to his parents, Sawyer to everyone else.

I’m coming to this party late but we just had our Sawyer this past December... Love the name and called him Beaner and now moving over to Sully since some of our too P.C. friends seemed to think that I’d be insulting some of Latino population with a nickname for my Caucasian being Beaner (after Soy Bean)... But honestly, I love a good little nickname but Sawyer is just a Sawyer... No more no less... Unless his mom gets [removed]ed then it’s "Sawyer Arthur!!!" ;)

My Sawyer gets called Sawyer mostly, but sometimes he gets called Mister which is more of a pet name & also Soy Man & Soy Boy & Soya Boy...his grandparents call him Sawyer Brown which I don’t love because when I think of his name Im thinking more Tom Sawyer...

It really doesn’t need a nick name...pet names usually come naturally with Lil ones but not every name needs a nick name, Sawyer is good in itself!!
