Karmyn vs. Karmen vs. Carmen

I am expecting my second daughter, and have fallen in love with the name Carmen! My husband likes it too, but wants to spell it Karmyn... Maybe it’s just me, but I think it looks a little tacky. Since I basically picked her name, should I let him pick the spelling or compromise with Karmen? Our 1st daughters name is Lacey Celeste.

I agree that Karmyn looks tacky, but I think that Karmen looks tacky too. Better stick with Carmen.

Ordinarily I’d say that since you picked the name, you should let your husband pick the spelling. However, Karmyn DEFINITELY looks tacky, and it doesn’t look right with Lacey.

While Carmen is my favorite spelling, compromising is probably the best idea. Karmen and Lacey look good together.

I like it with a K but prefer Karmen over Karmyn.

What about Karmin? Gives him the K and the different spelling but still looks "put together"

Carmen is easily the prettiest. You should try to convince him, but if you can’t, go with Karmen.

My mothers name is Carmen, but I gotta tell ya, I kinda like it spelt Karmen. Looks more feminine.

Hmm. I’m not sure about Karmin, when I first saw it I thought of Charmin, like the toilet paper brand. But I’d take it over Karmyn anyday!
