Madi vs. Names

We love the nickname Madi for our little girl! The only problem is all of the names (we can think of) for a full name ends in a N sound. Our last name also ends in a (very) strong N sound and ALL of the full names sound horrible. We thought of Madison/Madelyn/Madeline and they all sound horrible. Our question is, do you know of any full names for Madi that DON’T end in an N sound? Thank you -Miranda

Maddie is a nice name alone. Also Mackenzie can be a full name for Maddie.

So far we really like Madalaina. Mattie is the nickname we are using, only spelled with T’s (which we don’t like at all)

The spelling is Madi, not Maddie. We do like Matilda, but we don’t like the T’s for Madi at all.

Double first names seem "hick"ish to us (no offense to anyone) and Madi is too short of a name for our likeing. And again, the spelling is Madi, please spell it that way.

Have you thought about names with the nickname Addi? similar to Madi and gives you more first name options... but:

Matilda or Matisse could be Mattie or Mati
Maddox could be Madi
Madelia
Madrid
Marjorie

We do not like Addi, it is not nearly as pretty as Madi. We do like Matilda, but as I’ve stated multiple times now, the spelling will be Madi!

I’m sorry if we don’t find every single name appealing and that I’ve stated we do not like Madi on its own and that it will be spelled Madi.

Madeapple is VERY juvenille to us, we could never use it. And while Jamie Lynn Spears may have liked Maddie on it’s own, we do not.

So far we like Madalaina, Matilda, Madelena, and Madiana.

We cannot use Madison, as I stated in our original post.

Madiana is different than the other names suggested (I.e. Madi Jo) and I don’t appreciate you calling me things, you don’t see me doing that to you!

I’d say make another poll and be more open to people’s opinions as well as set them straight that you are hard to please in your first poll and that you want just Madi no compromise. Okay?

I don’t see what’s wrong with Madiana is sounds gorgous and I’m really picky about baby names people like Mariana Georgiana and such so why not Madiana expecially when people are naming there children things like Apple and Tigre

We do plan on making a new poll. What you need to understand is that we have not told anyone not to give suggestions, we have just stated what we do not like (I.e. double first names).

I was trying to be helpful by suggesting some middle names. People on here need to be more supportive and helpful and less quick to judge. Some people are picky about what they name their children. It’s not your job to ridicule them because they don’t like your suggestions.

Madelane (we don’t really like the y) is really cute! There is more stress on the lay part vs. the n which sounds fine with our last name!

I know of a lot of people who go by their middle names. You could go with another first name that works well with your last name but then have her middle name be Madi and call her Madi for her childhood and the nickname would most likely stick.
