just vs. wondering

I have wonderful twin girls named Isabella and Madison. We are adopting a little girl named Jane into the family. She’s already 5 so changing her name is probably a no. But I thought jane sounded boring with Isabella and Madison. Any suggestions? Thoughts? we will have custody of Jane in 2weeks so wed like to have any possible name changing done soon.

I really like Jane, it’s very classy. Older names or "grandma/grandpa" names seem to be the new trend lately.

If she’s already 5, it’s going to be very hard to change her name. For her at least. She’s known herself as Jane for a long time. If you do change it, make it something very similar, like Jade or Jada.
Another thought, talk to her about changing her name and ask her to pick a few names she’d like to go by. Sit down with her and help her pick a name that will age with and will fit in with her new sisters.
Hope this helped! Good luck!

I think 5 is too old to change her name... but the nn Janie is very cute!

I would go with something very, very similar if you change her name at all...something that could have the nn Jane would be best. Maybe...
Janine
Janae
Janette

or just call her Janie as a cute nn.

I personally love Jane and the nn Janie. I definitely wouldn’t change it. Especially since she’s 5.

Jane is not any more boring than Isabella...every girl I know is named that. Plain Jane is not as common as it used to be and is quite classy. I say leave it be.
