Well my name is Olivia, spelled the normal way. I think Livia is pretty too. Just as a warning, lot’s of people call me Livia as a habit, very few people actually pronouce the O. I am also called (uh-livia) a lot too. I like both names.

If you are going to choose this name (which I do love though it is very popular) I would do Olivia and spell it NORMALLY! I am so tired of people using "alternative" spellings to try to make a name different than a popular name. It doesn’t make it different. It is the same name. People will lump it in with the rest of the spellings as the same name, but it will appear that you can’t spell. I also prefer full names and using a nickname to just a nickname for the name. All in all, it’s the same name. A beautiful name! You just have to decide if the popularity bothers you.

Just so everyone knows I am not shortening it to be unique like a lot of other people are with different spellings. Livia is actually an ancient roman female name and has been around long before Olivia has. I do thank everyone for their opinions, though. Both are lovely however Olivia is #1 in my state. Odd I know since its usually Isabella or Sophia.

My sister just named her daughter Livian. I thought it was super cute. :)

Ok. In this instance I stand corrected. I have just seen way too many where it is just the nn or it is a made up spelling. I do have to say, that I think most people will probably think it is supposed to be short for Olivia. I do love Olivia (not Alivia or Elivia or Aulyvia, as I have seen before), but I do understand that it is popular in the US right now and apparently especially in your state. But it seems obvious you really love the name so...

Thank you, I wasnt trying to be rude or hostile. I justed it known that it is an actual that has been around long before Olivia has.
