Kirsten vs. Kiersten
We want our daughter’s name to be pronounced Keerstin (vs Kursten). Almost every site we look at says that Kirsten is the correct, Scandinavian spelling, but we also know that some people spell it Kiersten. Which do you think would be most understood for the Keerstin pronunciation? -Anna

Both spellings are correct. Kiersten will probably be better.

Kristen is fine, but we definitely love the Keersten pronunciation best. Kirsten and Kiersten are our favorite spellings. I think we actually like Kirsten better, but Kiersten looks like it would be less likely to be mispronounced.

i like the look of kiersten better and i agree that it does pose less confusion, however, there will always be ignorant/lazy people who will call her kristen no matter how you spell it so be prepared...i also like kierstyn...
