Strong vs. Manly vs. Unique boys names

Hello all! Just starting my name search for our boy. My hubby wants to go for a very strong and manly sounding boys name that is on the unique side. He’s definitely not into a normal name like Ben or David. I on the other hand am a little concerned about an out there name. I wont go for names like Rock, Ocean or id dont know kumquat (just the first really weird word that popped into my head, thats not even close to being on the table dont worry). I’m just wondering what sorts of names are out there that fit his bill before i agree to picking different name. Could you ladies make some suggestions for me please?

I like the suggestion of Oliver, Jaxson and Preston but he will think they are too normal. Hes nuts. I could get behind names like Sawyer and Chase. Ace is our dog so thats out.

The thing is Im trying to find a compromise between what i like (the normal traditional names like Matt, Will and Jake) with his likes (any name thats unlikely to have a duplicate in our son’s classes at school). Does that help any?

oh man go away for a few minutes to answer some of you back and i get a ton of names thrown at me. where to start?

I know some of them he\’d love and i wouldn\’t so lets focus on ones i could grow to love and he\’d still like.

Sawyer,Chase, Weston, Cooper, Spencer, Archer, Dominic, Milo.

Hopefully narrowing down your suggestions into a list will help more.

My husband and I are the same way. We liked common but unique names. So our first sons name is Jaycob and we call him Jayke. We are having another boy and likely naming him Ayden. Hope that helps and good luck.
