Alexa Leda vs. Stella Leda vs. Alyssa Leda

Hello ladies, I just moved from Brazil to Texas, my due date is next week (!!!) and I still struggling with a name search for my baby girl. I’d love to give her a American/easy to spell to avoid the same problem I have with my name here. It’s a pain everytime I go out and people mispell my name. I have 3 suggestions. I really would like to give her the middle name LEDA, for personal reasons, and my last name is Martin (luckly commom here too). Can you help me pick up the best one to match with? XXXXXX Leda Martin Feel Free to suggest something different of those, I only don’t want a dated name... Super thanx!

I actually like all three!
Alexa has a pretty sound, and it sounds good with Martin!
Stella flows well with Leda.
Alyssa is very American-sounding. Like a cute, all-american girl.
My vote goes to Alexa Leda Martin, but you cant go wrong with any!

I like Stella because it sounds Spanish enough yet very American as well, but it doesn’t flow all that well with Leda. Too many L’s. So my vote goes to Alyssa, which also sounds Spanish enough in my mind.

Also, I sort of had the same problem as you in that I have a foreign name (more foreign than yours) that people can neither spell nor pronounce, but I guess because I grew up here I got used to correcting people in an efficient way and it doesn’t bug me so much. So maybe it wouldn’t be so bad for your daughter to have a more Mexican name.

Although I think Alexa is really pretty, I chose Alyssa. I’m a teacher, and I see the name Alexis a lot. It’s not the same, but it is similar. I think you’d be better off choosing Alyssa or Stella.

:) Yes you are right, Brazil is NOT a Spanish Speaking country. Actually we speak PORTUGUESE but some names has the same spelling in both languages.
