Full Names for vs. Nickname vs. Remie/Remy

Hey Everyone! My husband and I are expecting a little girl and we’ve decided we want to be able to call her Remie or Remy. We just don’t know if we want it to be her whole name or short for something else. The problem is, we can’t come up with any names with the nickname Remie. Please Help!! Thank you - Kate

Ramona, don’t know.... but I do think of the Disney movie Rattouille. The mouse- main character is Remy.

Remy is a unisex name when it’s on its own, but it is short for the French male name Remigius, which means oarsman. I think it’s totally fine to use on its own, and doesn’t sound incomplete. If you try to find a name to fit the nn, you might end up putting yourself in a corner with a full name you don’t love.
