I would just keep it simple and use Lily as the nn. You don’t have to go straight off of the full name. Look at Bob for Robert, that doesn’t even make sense as a nn but it’s common. lol GL!

To me Lilly is a nn for Lillian-type names whereas Lily is its own name because it refers to the flower which is spelled Lily.

I posted a poll today asking people what spelling they like- Lily, Lilly, or Lilli- for my baby girl. We both posted the same thing on the same day. Most people said that they like Lily the best, but I’m leaning more towards Lilly or Lilli. I haven’t decided yet. Good Luck!
