Anya vs. Aniya

Trying to decide whether to add the "i" or not. Thoughts? Pronounced "Ahn-ya". I think the I adds a bit more femininity/flair with Rose, my husband thinks it complicates it....

I have to agree with your husband. I think Anya is a beautiful, feminine name anyway and Aniya may be pronounce An-nee-yah. HTH

Anya Rose sounds very pretty. Aniya complicates the name and is not nearly as pretty. It has more of an ethnic feel to it, if that’s what you’re going for.

Anya is beautiful and if you add the ’i’ you’re going to wind up with mispronounciations. (Ann-eye-yuh), etc. Beautiful name!

I agree... Anya will get pronounced ON-ya or ANN-ya.

Aniya will be prounced a-NY-a or a-NEE-ya.
