boy vs. names vs. for Swan?

Hi all! We’re looking for boy names that work with our last name (Swan). We love traditional names like Benjamin and Thomas and Samuel, but the inevitable nicknames sound terrible with our last name--"Ben Swan," "Sam Swan," "Tom Swan," etc. (And can you imagine poor "John Swan"?) Suggestions for us? The more the better. Thanks!

Andrew Swan--I know you’re thinking about the nickname Andy but I’ve known more than one Andrew who has NEVER been called Andy so I wouldn’t worry about that one.

I think you need a STRONG name to go with your last name Swan.

Cole Swan (with a middle name of two or more syllables)
Dominic Swan (nn Dom)

Thanks! You guys suggested a lot of great names. (Also my first son’s name, my husband’s name, and the male version of my name--all of which I think are great.) Other than those, my favorites are:

Alexander (too often used?)
Gabriel
Nathan

Now, to get husband to agree to any name!
