Emily Jane vs. Emelia/Emilia Jane vs. Amelia Jane
Me and my husband decided we want to name our baby before she is born just so we want constantly second guess ourself. Our top 3 names are Emily, Emelia/Emilia, Amelia. Jane will be her middle name after my MIL who has passed away. I know Emily is popular but I have always loved this name should I go with it anyways? I think Emelia/Emilia sounds so cute and gives me tons of nicknames that I love Emmy, Lia, Mia and so on, and its more unique. Amelia is probably my least favorite just because I love the nickname Emmy and I cant use it with Amelia but you can amy. It is very pretty and it seems to be the one that everyone likes the most. We have one son already Mason William who is 3. Our last name is Burrows. So please choose your favorite and let me know why. We are getting close to the due date and although many of our friends have told us to wait til she is born to decide. We at least want to eliminate one name so make your best case as to which name I should eliminate! Thanks Sarah and Richie

My name is Emily and although it is popular, I was the only Emily in my class at school. I’ve always really liked my name and I think Emily Jane flows very beautifully. HTH

I also think Emily Jane flows very well! I think its a beatufil name! I have actually only come across 2 in my lifetime and don’t know of any babies (I know quite a few more Emma’s though).

I love the name Emily - as for its popularity, there is a reason why it is so popular! It is a timeless, pretty, classic name that goes from baby to adult!

I love the name Emilia Jane. I completely disagree that Emilia is not as pretty or classic as the other two; in fact, quite the contrary. I am naming my child Emilia because it’s actually a very old and meaningful name. I can trace my family tree all the way back to the late 1600s in the US, and Emilia is a common thread throughout.

Totally loving this. I am doing an assignment on names and my name is Emily-Jane ...no middle names. I have soooo many nicknames and the list keeps going. Em-Jay, E-J, Emmie, Em-Lilly, Emiloo, Ems, Emma, Emzie-pop etc. I really love my name and tend to own it. Also think it is extremely victorian and even though Emily is quite a popular name, it is definitely popular for a reason...
