piper michaela vs. more p names?

2 weeks left and we are losing are minds on name choices. We really want a p name to go w/her siblings. We love Piper and just decided on it. We also decided not to tell people but i made the mistake of telling my mother who told my father. My father called me and begged me not to name her that. He hates it and thinks it will not age well. WDYT? My husband and i love it. She’ll join Brother Peyton (8) and sister Paris (3).

I’m not a big fan on Piper either. How about Penelope (nn Penny, very cute)? Or Pamela (Pamie?) Patricia (Patty)?

I think Piper is a pretty name. I think you should go with what you love. Your father will warm up to the name once the baby is here. I also like Phoebe and that might be more agreeable to your father if you choose to go with something else.

Piper is not in the league of Nevaeh or something completely made-up so I say go with it...your parents got to name their kids already

I don’t particularly like Piper, but it will are just fine. No worries!
I also like:

Phoebe (Though it has the P only on paper, which might be a problem)
Paige
Portia (flaw is the meaning: Latin: Pig)

I don’t think Piper sound very good on a business woman or professional. What about Priscilla, Philippa, Persephone, Philomena? Although it is your choice, it is wise to listen to family members because they will represent what others will think of the name as well. If they don’t like it, other people won’t either. I think your dad’s concern is valid.

I think Piper is great. By far the best of other suggestions. It will age as well as Paris and Peyton, which are more modern names as well. All these ’modern’ names will eventually be adults, middle age, old age and they won’t seem so different then (unless they truly are scrabble letters thrown into the air!

Piper is really cute. If Pippa ages well then Piper definitely will too. Paige and Penny are the only other p names for girls I can think of that I like.

Piper is a very strong name that will age very well with your little girl! I say name her Piper; you should be the one make the decision on what to name your child. Your parents made their choices for your own name; you have the final say for your baby. Your father just might come around and the name Piper may grow on him; I know that name choices I hated (I kept quiet, though-lol) turned out to be my world’s favorites. I think Paige will fit in great with Peyton and Paris, and will age better than Piper.

Thanks everyone! Paige is cute but that’s our nieces name. We picked Phoenix for a boy awhile. I like it for a girl also but don’t think my DH does. WDYT of Phoenix/

I think Piper fits in well with your other children...the name will age well. Piper Michaela is great!

I LOVE the name Phoenix. I love it both boys and girls. If you love the name Piper, then use Piper. It isn’t your father’s choice. He isn’t the one raising the baby, you are. Name her Piper. I don’t like the name Phoebe.
