Vivian Kate vs. Vivien Kate vs. Vivienne Kate
Been on here before. We’ve been waiting to adopt for two years so we’ve tossed around names quite a bit. Found out we’re getting a baby girl in two weeks. We’d already decided on the name but not the spelling. Our last name is long so I’m wondering if we should go with a simple spelling of Vivian. I like Vivienne the most though. Vivien would be a compromise. Thanks!

Love Vivienne. I understand the length ordeal. But I wouldn’t worry about it too much. Its said more than spelled.

I like both Vivian and Vivienne. If you love Vivienne, go for it. Length isn’t that big of an issue - unless your name is over four syllables.

I’ve always considered Vivian an old lady’s name. I don’t like the name at all!!!

We too are considering a short or long version of this name and have settled for using Vivian for a first name (because of the long surname), or Vivienne for a middlename. Plus, Vivian looks better with our ENglish surname. So, I’d say to use the one that looks best with your surname.

We named our baby girl Vivienne Kate...so I love that one! For obvious reasons! :)
