Fictor James vs. Edison James

Please help me out! My sister (who doesn’t know I’m doing this) is due to have her baby next week. For the last eight months the babys name has been Edison James, it’s not my favorite, but it’s decent. Last week however, she called me and told me she was switching it to Fictor. The baby "felt like a Fictor". I would understand her thinking if Fictor was an actual name. I get baby naming is a personal thing, but I can’t just sit here. I know I know, its probably wrong for me to be doing this, but my hope is that if I can show her I’m not alone in my thinking, maybe she will change it back. The baby WILL be nicknamed F*cktor no matter what. Name him Edison, its for his own good.

Fictor is really bad.It immediately makes me think of the word Fiction.Plus I think she will constantly be correcting people,when she says it people are going to think she’s saying Victor.
I agree with you that Edison isn’t the greatest name but it’s a lot better than Fictor and at least it has nickname options too.

Hoooolllyyy Mooooly. I’ve heard some interesting names but this one is just ridiculous. Fictor sounds like someone is trying to say Victor but has a really bad lisp. Where/how did your sister even come up with it?

I pretty sure you heard her wrong... I bet its victor.. or she’s messing with you. But what is this poll going to do? it wont make her change her mind. Its her kid and we are strangers.. I did the same thing with my sister one this site about a year ago. She went from Kelly to Ticki. She flat out told me that she doesn’t care what a bunch of people she doesn’t know has to say about something she didn’t even ask help with. Ticki was named Ticki. Although we call her Jay T. The most you’ll do is upset your sister..

Ediaon is world,s better than Fictor...but if she did say Victor, Victor is worlds better than Edison

Its Fictor, I made her spell it for me because I didn’t believe her. Apparently she decided on Fictor because she heard someone mistakingly say it when they meant Victor and it "hit her that was the name for her baby". I realize this will likely be futile but it’s worth a shot.
