Adèle ?? vs. ?? Adèle

Hi baby namers! We’re really stuck and need a little help. We love the name Adèle, and want to use it as either a first or middle name. Also, do you think the grave accent is too much? This is the proper French spelling. Otherwise it will just be Adele. Anyway, we need names that sound nice with Adèle. The only name we like is Lauren Adèle or Adèle Francesca. Please suggest more. Thank you! Her brother is Louis Joshua (LOO-ee) and he is 2. Emma, David, Louis and baby girl Brydon.

Hmm, not a fan of Lauren.

However I do like Adele Francesca. I would also go with the non-French spelling... Adele. It’s easier and the accent will confuse people.

I think the accent with almost never get used. There isn’t much room in official forms for it usually. I would say keep it for personal use but no point in adding the accent to the official record.

I love Adele - it’s underused and pretty. I think you should go with it as a first name.

my daughter is Adele Sophie, we have always loved the name. She is 14 now and has no other friends at her school with the same name so its great!!! She now uses the Adèle because she likes to but officially its easier not to include the accent as it does confuse people.
